Shangri-La Yunnan Snub-nose Monkey National Park is a part of the Baimaxueshan Nature Reserve. It is located in the Tacheng Town, Weixi County Diqing Prefecture. The transportation to the scenic spot is as follows:
Passenger coach: (1) Shangri-La - through Nixi (Tutao Village) - Tacheng Town (about 135 kilometers, 3 hours)
(2) Lijiang - via Shigu (the First Bay of the Yangtze River) - Tacheng Town, Weixi County (about 170 kilometers, 4 hours)
Chartered tour: You can go to the "Jincheng Square" in Lijiang or find a van to Qizong.
Self-driving mode: Shangri-La - via Nixi (terracotta village) - Tacheng Town (about 135 kilometers, 3 hours)
Lijiang - via Shigu (First Bay of the Yangtze River) - Tacheng Town, Weixi County (about 170 kilometers, 4 hours)
Opening Hours of Scenic Spots:
8 o'clock in the morning - 12 o'clock (closed at 11:30)
Tickets: 70 yuan/person, sightseeing fare in scenic spot 50 yuan/person (purchase the ticket at the ticket office at the entrance of the scenic spot)
(Reminder: Golden monkeys are purely wild animals. There are multiple monkey watching spots in the scenic area. You must follow the staff's arrangements after entering the scenic area.)
Lodging:
There are hotels with ethnic characteristics in the scenic area. If you want, you can live in the scenic area and enjoy the feeling of being close to nature and being awakened by birds in the morning.
