(Summary description)Baima Snow Mountain is a national nature reserve with the largest area and the highest altitude in our country, which mainly protects the Yunnan snub-nose monkeys and the spruce-fir forest environment where they inhabit. It is one of the 25 global biodiversity hotspots recognized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The Yunnan snub-nose monkeys are also highly endangered rare species in the world recognized by the IUCN. The Chinese government has made a commitment internationally, so the protection of the Yunnan snub-nose monkeys and their habitat is related to the image of our country and drags each nerve of the nature protection cause in China. The Reserve Administration has always focused on the steady growth of the Yunnan snub-nose monkeys and the improvement and optimization of their habitat as the primary standards for verifying the implementation of scientific outlook on development and effect of emancipating the mind in the Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve. So, no matter how complicated the work is, the Administration will always regard the protection and scientific monitoring of the Yunnan snub-nose monkeys as the top priority of all tasks.
