Qibie Village's Millennium Ginkgo Tree
As the name suggests, this tree is a thousand years old, like a giant umbrella sheltering the Naxi village. Legend has it that a living Buddha planted the tree, after which the area enjoyed good weather and the people lived in peace. During festivals, people would wear festive clothes and dance around the ginkgo tree, praying for a good year ahead.
